Induced abortion, a controversial issue. The reason that this issue is so controversial, is because that's about an issue that do we human have the right to decide the other's exist or not, even thought that is just an embryo.
"Is an embryo can be equal to a human" is the main question of this issue. Because we all know that kill the other people is illegal for almost every countries. So it's no doubt that no one have right to kill the other people, unless the man is adjudged to death penalty (in fact, many countries have no death penalty now.) So if the embryo is equal to a human, than the induced abortion is equal to murder.
Some people said that embryo is a human, because God put the live, soul when the fertilization happened. But that's about theology. For other peoples' opinion, they don't think embryo is equal to a human, but half a human. That's means that they take embryo as a half-finished man. Actually, many doctors take this opinion. For example, when a pregnancy mother have accident, then for the mother and baby, the doctor can only save the one of them, most of the doctor might choose to save the mother. And I think most people will make the same choice. In fact, people tend to think an embryo as a "possibility", a "potential", but not a full human. That's why the induced issue is so controversial.
