The reason why now the day we have to discuss "Gender Ethics", I think is because James Watt, who devised the steam engine. If James Watt didn't devise the steam engine, then there won't be industrial revolution. If there was no industrial revolution, female will still be the inferior strength of labor. Because the industrial revolution, it's the first time that female can do the same work as male.
Before the steam engine be devised, male is the main labor force. I think at that time, there was no "Gender Ethics", because people will think that sexism is very normal, no one well think that is wrong. But now a day, male no longer have vantage at physiology; what male can do, female can do, too (some times, much better.) I think if we want to eliminate the sexual discrimination, we should provide the same opportunity to each gender. The physiology different between two genders is a fact. So it's wrong to say that both genders are the same, or to say that male doesn't need female or female doesn't need male. We should face the fact, male and female are different, so that we can try to find a way that make sure each gender have the same right and same opportunity.
