About the issue that "laws must aimed at the goodness of the whole society", I have a question. At 18th, In Prussia, there was a king named Friedrich Wilhelm I, who was known as "the Soldier-King". The king Friedrich is not really a merciful king, he treated whole country as an giant army barracks. He made Prussia a huge powerful army in vary short time. To do that, some time he used some "sruel way".
But it's worthy, he made a vary good foundation. Prussia, from a weak small country, became a big powerful country of Europe.
If we only consider the result, Friedrich I really made the goodness of the whole society. But in the other hand, during that process, lot of people's rights were sacrificed. But Friedrich I need to do this, or the country would be conquered by the others.
"Could we sacrifice the few people's goodness, for the whole society's?"
That gonna be a question.
